Our country is not going survive much longer if this kind of school shooting violence continues. Nobody is going to fight for a democracy in which you cannot send your children to school knowing they might get shot to death there. People will simply not tolerate this. When political systems fail, they are nearly always replaced by something much worse. We cannot allow this to happen. I would suggest to begin with the school set-up, a hotline for students to call if they encountering major problems either in home or school. These hotlines should be staffed by skilled professionals dealing with violence. Violence prevention and compassionate thinking should be mandatory in every school's curriculum. We need to transmit the message that violence is not the answer to your problems. We have not been doing this. This needs to be done right now. Violence is not the answer.
